Fabulous and terrifying Artificial Intelligence

    We cannot deny to be followed and watched by computers and smart phones. It seems that they try to be our friends and make our life easier. For example, Claire likes to watch videos of toy play. Now we don't need to search this kind of video for her, because that You Tube suggests always the right things, having recorded your favors and guessed what might interest you. For me, Facebook  seems to know my situation and suggests several events and places where I would like to go. The more important to us is the real-time location and map. If we go out, we need the route guide. When we are iin some new area, we turn to the smart phone in order to look for a restaurant. Our phone records all our whereabouts, even it's not connected to the internet.

    Recently I read an article which keeps me thinking. The writer shows his astonishment that after his aunt's death, she still remains alive in Facebook, because nobody has canceled her account. All her notes in Facebook suggest a biography, especially focus on her habits and her hobbies. Automatically, computer can make a list of her favorite foods, favorite subjects, favorite friends with the help of date analysis. It's amazing.

   Computer can learn. Besides robots, Google even developed an auto guide car, which can drive on road many hours without making a mistake. It's obviously safer to take this car than drive when one is drunk, since the computer can recgonize all the road signs and follow them. Fabulous, isn't it ?

   Yes, the developement of artificial intelligence is surprising and even unbelievable. Human can take good advantage of it, especially analysis of big data. But, what is horrible is that we never know if some applications would be used for bad intentions. Computer can change a lot our society but I wish it would not control our life without our conscience.

   In my city, all road cameras are turned off after having citizens voted. But we cannot vote for delete all our information in internet.
